fibers on friday ~ scratchy

It has been a while since I knitted with tulle and now I remember why; it's scratchy.  Needing to take a break from the scrubby I whipped up a new hat in an unknown but very soft fiber.

Don't forget to stop by Visions of Sugar Plums and see what fiber projects others are working on this week.

fibers on friday ~ dishcloths update

I finished up the second dishcloth.  There was a bit of the black and white cotton left so I cast on for a scrubber.

Be sure to visit Visions of Sugar Plums to see what fiber projects others are working on this week.

we were curious...

...to see what Earl was doing to the sea this morning.

What a beautiful day at the beach!

I thought the sea might be a bit rougher so I told my littles no bathing suits when we left this morning. Our plan was to watch the waves that Earl kicked up. It became a lost cause to keep them out of the water when the safe to swim flags were up. We had lots of fun and everyone ended up swimming in their street clothes.

Looks like I won't need to cut back the morning glories from my porch swing after all.

here i stand trying...

...to decide if hurricane Earl is a big enough threat...

...to cut the morning glories off the porch swing and store it away.

I really do love it just the way it is.  I think I will wait until tomorrow to make this decision.  I can take care of everything else and save this one for the last minute.  Hopefully I won't have to cut them.
