surprises

I love surprises, well the good ones that is. Like getting a package from an amazing friend and finding beautiful, handmade gifts inside.

     

I am trying to be a good blogger so I laid my gift out for a picture and decided to put the book next on my list to read with it.  I had plans to curl up under my quilt and spend the afternoon reading.  But while I made myself a cup of hot chocolate......

     

They are great little fakers.

After a very busy day I took some time to watch the sunset with my family and enjoy the time we have together.

This rose bush was cut down to 4" tall and looked like a stick in the mud a month ago. I wasn't sure it would survive, but it did.
